A day after being flown back to San Francisco to take a look at his right elbow, Giants manager Bruce Bochy has said Sergio Romo has been placed on the 15-day disabled list due to a strained flexor tendon. There is no timetable for a return, so Romo will sit out two weeks and be reevaluated following the rest. The Giants have not yet made any changes to the roster to compensate for the loss of Romo, but possible candidates include Clayton Blackburn, Michael Broadway, Steven or Okert.
